Feb 10th progress
I practiced for about an hour with 20 minutes of stretching and warming up exercises as well as 40 minutes of singing scales, rip rolls, and hisses. I felt like after stretching I was able to get the moment of suspension just about every time. When I didn’t have it, I consciously thought about waiting half a second before singing and making space in my pharyngeal cavity and I instantly regained the moment of suspension support. What I did today was, instead of doing lip rolls to just scales I also played a few songs on the piano and I tried to think about keeping my moment of suspension when doing lip rolls to songs on the piano. It was difficult at first trying to do lip rolls, play the piano, and think about the moment of suspension, but after a couple times going through the song, I felt that it was manageable. That’s all I have today.
